Description:
Utilizing the Advanced PCB, a sub board of the Jasper. Which has added ram traces for an additional 512MB of ram. Making these systems have a total of 1GB for debug headroom. These two unit configs are unique variants of the standard XDK GB SKU, as they still retain use of their configID over the use of a SKU. Additionally, these two specific configs of XDK GB have full promotional branding. They run from January to March 2010. They utilize a Zeus GPU.
Faceplate is a PV, or production verification item. The last phase of development before full production, near final. Because of this, the faceplate is a prototype accessory. The branded faceplate is dated 2009.
This version of the branded faceplate is only applied on these two particular conifgIDs of XDK GB (XDK-GB-2, and Jasper XDK-PV-2). The faceplate did not continue into later XDK GB units. The units config or “information” label will denote the config and if the config is a configID or SKU. The label will be located on the top half of the case. They were sold to developers as a standard XDK GB using the AK1-00078 SKU, despite utilizing a configID that differs to the build-up used for the SKU Config units. (Meaning these two units were built to their unique configIDs, or different specifications, but sold under the same SKU that Microsoft will eventually use to identify and build XDK GB units).
Differences between the two configurations, XDK-GB-2 and Jasper XDK-PV-2, is unknown. Nor is any difference between these two configIDs and the later SKU’d releases known. Despite the cosmetic difference, using the PV branded faceplate. They also only use the Zeus GPU over the Kronos on the SKU config release.
