Motherboard: Xenon, Fab: X801054-007
Information:
First development Kit in the standard Xbox 360 form factor made available to developers. The system uses a DD1 clocked at 2.8GHz. Because of an issue with the power on reset sequence, or POR, a titan is required for the system to boot (xenonlibrary). There are multiple configs used for these systems, this was done to conduct “field-testing” to verify and further test changes between each configID. The differences between the many configIDs is not known. Even if the system uses a different configID they are sold under the same SKU.
Known configIDs:
Cosmetically these systems use a black shell with no Xbox 360 engravings. The shell uses a unique finish, texture, that is wildly different than the finish and texture on the Retail Xbox 360 shell. The Sidecar’s shell, base and HDD risers are black. The sidecar internals remain unchanged to the final hardware release. The finish on the sidecar shell is not the same as the units case. As a result, it gives the sidecar an appearance of being darker in color. The Sidecar will have additional text above the PIX port reading “PIX-DBG” instead of “PIX” seen on later development kit beta hardware and final hardware release. The faceplate used on the beta refresh 1 systems feature a rounded sync button. The MU A door features embossed text while the MU B door uses debossed text. The USB doors are rubber and open outward. The faceplate does not fit on final shells due to difference in plastic design and vise versa. The case uses the larger beta rubber feet.
